About Parapool
Parapool is a dedicated outsourced paraplanning platform available exclusively to the St. James’ Place partnership. Parapool was founded in 2018 by an experienced team of partners and paraplanners within the St. James’s Place community with the aim of helping partners and advisers access the best paraplanners out there.
Parapool does this by letting expert, experienced paraplanners bid on cases posted by registered advisers to the Parapool marketplace. By helping quickly match cases to paraplanners and streamlining the outsourcing/payment process, we aim to not only make paraplanning more efficient, but also improve the quality and transparency in the industry.

The Team
Joe Wilcox
Joe joined the St. James’s Place partnership in 2014, having previously worked as a Management Consultant within financial services. Joe understands the pressures of running a St. James’s Place partner practice and has considerable experience managing large scale data projects. As a partner of St. James’s Place, Joe founded Parapool to ensure advisers could easily access the best available paraplanning resources.
Joe is responsible for on-boarding advisers and paraplanners to the Parapool platform.
Hamish Gibberd
Hamish joined the St. James’s Place partnership in 2014 having completed a degree in Engineering at The University of Edinburgh. During his time at St. James’s Place, Hamish has been responsible for running paraplanning operations across a number of partner’s practices and has built a thorough understanding of the company’s business assurance, risk and due diligence processes.
Hamish is responsible for the operation of the platform and the continuous improvement of the Parapool marketplace.
Henry Irwin
Henry has worked in financial services for over 15 years and in 2008 he founded a senior partner practice within the St. James’s Place partnership. Henry has been working closely with the St. James’s Place paraplanning community for over 10 years and co-founded Parapool to provide partners and advisers with a more effective outsourced paraplanning solution.
